Jane Clark for Mayor
Alderman Jane Clark has been endorsed by the NT Greens as their candidate for Mayor in the Alice Springs Town Council Elections on March 29.
Jane Clark is a local business owner working in the IT Industry, has owned local restaurants and a therapeutic health centre in her 27 years in Alice, while also raising a family.
She’s been an Alderman for 4 years and is an Executive member of the Local Government Association of the NT (LGANT). She is currently the chair of the Alice Springs Town Council Corporate and Community Services Committee, Araluen Grants Committee and Community Computers Committee. She was also chair of the Swimming Pool Redevelopment Committee which was chartered to ensure the pool redevelopment complied with Australian safety standards.
She is currently working with LGANT lobbying the federal government for 1% of Commonwealth taxation to be distributed to Local Government. LGANT is also involved with negotiating with the NT Government on issues relating to Local Government Reform

Lisa Hall for Alderman
The Greens have endorsed Lisa Hall as a candidate for Alderman in the Alice Springs Town Council elections on 29 March 2008. Jane Clark, Greens Mayoral candidate, has welcomed Lisa Hall’s nomination saying ”Her youth and energy will be a real positive for the Alice Springs Town Council.”
Lisa is the same age as the average Alice Springs resident, 33, and would welcome the opportunity to represent her peers and other residents on Council.
After traveling widely in Australia and abroad, Lisa Hall has recently bought her first home in Alice. Her experience in Uniting Church and Education based committees coupled with her youth and energy will enable her to contribute productively to the work of Council.
Lisa has been active in sporting clubs and community groups and around Alice Springs and is ready to work cooperatively as an Alderman.
