About Me
- Name: Jane Clark
- Location: Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia
Jane Clark has been a resident and small business owner in Alice Springs for 27 years and has a family history in the town going back to the 1920’s. In a varied work life she has owned a successful restaurant, taught swimming, operates one of the first web design businesses opened in the Territory, is a lecturer in New Media Studies and owns a therapeutic health and yoga centre. She has 3 children aged 21, 19 and 15, who were all born and raised in Alice. She has been an Alderman on Alice Springs Town Council and Executive Member of the Local Government Association of NT and is convener of the Alice Springs Information Technology Industry Development Group as well as other IT Industry related groups. Jane believes that good public policy combined with grass roots consultation can improve the quality of life for people living in the Territory. Robust businesses with ethical values and sustainable practices can help the Territory grow and prosper.
